Geert W. Rep
Partner, Attorney
Geert Rep studied at the VU University of Amsterdam, graduating in 1990. Following his studies he became an attorney at the Dutch law firm, Schenkeveld and Sluis. Within six years, he became a partner at the firm and assumed responsibilities as a board member. Beyond his legal vocation, Geert's passion for law manifests through his extracurricular activities. Noteworthy roles include his representation within the National College of Representatives, the legislative body for Dutch attorneys, and his position as Chairman of the Young Lawyers (Jonge Balie) in the city of Alkmaar. Following his settlement in Aruba, he was Treasurer at the Aruba Bar Association and currently dedicates his time to various non-profit organizations. For 6 years, he lectured civil law at the University of Aruba. Furthermore, Geert is a proficient mediator and a specialized authority in real estate law, supported by his attainment of a post-academic degree.
Carrying the same as the Dutch football player Johnny Rep, Geert passionately engages in soccer at an acceptable level. On and off the field, he does not like to lose, nor can he stand injustice.
